1940’s Photos by Kubrick

Here’s a little trivia for you – before Stanley Kubrick was a filmmaker, he was a New York City-based photojournalist for Look magazine. And I’ve got the proof!

Over four years he completed more than 300 assignments for the magazine, snapping the people and sights of the Big Apple. Even then, his inimitable style was apparent. Dramatic. Mysterious. Light and Shade. Vintage Kubrick.
