The weekend forecast is looking pretty miserable, so why not stay indoors and have a crafternoon?
The team at Typo have just launched The Art Studio Collection, an ace collection of easy-to-make projects including tote bags, activity journals, stencil kits and wrap. As part of this campaign, they’ve teamed up with one of their most passionate customers, DIY aficionado Kate, to create some handy step-by-step guides that will help even the most novice artist bring out their creative side! Here, Kate and Typo show us how to make a Photo a Day Journal.
How To Make a Photo a Day Journal
Step One
Start with a Typo A Photo a Day Activity Journal.
Step Two
Print out your favourite photos; choose one photo per day to add to your journal. You may want to do a weekly print, or just print as you go each day. Use a glue stick or even decorative tape to stick your photos in the book.
Step Three
Apply some photo corners to your picture; they are a great way to make your photo pop off the page. Photo corners come in an array of colours so you can find the best ones to suit your project.
Using paint, pencils or even pastels draw cute borders and pictures around your photos to make them come alive! Speech bubbles are always a fun option.
Step Five
Write about it! In either, pen, paint or coloured pencils write a little caption about your photo so you can reminisce when you look back. By the way, hash tags do not work the same way on paper!
