What’s the deal?
Vital Greens was created in 2000 by two iconic Sydney naturopaths, Shane Sullivan and Stephen Sprada. It is a carefully balanced blend of 76 ingredients including nutrient dense greens, vegetables, and fruits, plus additional herbs, vitamins and minerals, powerful antioxidants, pre and probiotics, essential fatty acids, fibre, and a uniquely alkalising pea protein.
Vital Greens is also gluten and wheat free and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, lactose free, corn free and dairy free.
What does it do?
The short answer: Vital Green makes you feel good! Or more specifically, it provides optimum nutrient levels to help support detoxification, digestion, intestinal health, immunity and assist vitality and energy.
What does it taste like?
It doesn’t matter how good something is for me, if it takes like it’s from the bottom of the Yarra, I just can’t go there! For something that is so green and so healthy, Vital Greens tastes surprisingly good – it must because it’s sweetened with organic Thaumatin, a completely natural patented sweetener. In fact, I’ve been having one glass every afternoon when I hit that 4pm slump. It satisfies my craving for something a little sweet and keeps me going until dinner time.
Any tips to get the most out of Vital Greens?
You only need to have one glass of Vital Greens each day, but to make sure you’re getting the most out of it, I’ve got four tips:
- Vital Greens is best with water, but the sky is the limit when it comes to what ever you want to mix it with. You can try it in a smoothie or added to cereal, yoghurt, coconut water, milk, rice milk or oat milk.
- Avoid mixing Vital Greens with acidic juices like orange juice as this can effect the alkalinity.
- With or without food is fine.
- Ideally it is best to avoid coffee or tea for 30 minutes before and after having Vital Greens.
