In The Days of Our Lives we meet some fascinating and creative folk and take a look at what their typical day holds. Far from being about the mundane, it is a celebration of what it takes to juggle the day-to-day with big ideas, a successful business and a full home life. It’s about keeping all the balls in the air – what is important and what isn’t. It’s about (extra)ordinary moments that fill our every day.

This week we meet Emma Seibold, the pocket rocket owner and founder of Barre Body – fitness classes that combine yoga and ballet barre conditioning to tone your whole body, while developing balance strength and flexibility.

From starting her day with a smoothie and meditation to running her two Melbourne-based studios and playing with her little cute-as-a-button-son, this is a day in Emma’s life…

5.30 am

Wake up time (I wish this wasn’t true, but it is!). I lay in bed for half and hour reading my emails and checking Facebook. I then got up and do a short meditation and yoga practice in my living room.

7.00 am

Xavier wakes up. We cuddle and have a little play, and then he has breakfast.

8.30 am

I take Xavier to daycare.

9.00 am

I go to my favourite deli on Spring Street to pick up bananas and avocado for my morning smoothie

9.30 am

I relax on my balcony drinking my berry green smoothie

10.30 am

Matt (my baby-daddy) and I head off to the Barre Body studio in Windsor, via Lululemon where I pick up our outfits for the video shoot we are doing for Body+Soul.

11.00am

We film a series of videos for the new men’s section on Body+Soul.

3.00 pm

I check my emails a do a little work.

4.30 pm

We pick Xavier up from daycare and scoot home through the Treasury Gardens.

5.30 pm

I teach a class at Barre Body Flinders Lane

7.00 pm

I put Xavier to bed and then enjoy dinner and a glass of wine with Matt.

9.30 pm

Heavenly bath and read my book before going to sleep. A great day!
