Last week, I went to Freedom’s Summer launch and got the scoop on a whole stack of new trends and pieces that will instantly refresh your home for the season ahead. Here’s my edit of six homewares updates you’ll want to get your mitts on:
1. Pineapples
This year, it’s going to be the summer of the pineapple. Everyone commented on these babies when they saw them on my Instagram feed – and you can see why, especially when they’re only $19.95.
2. Polka Dots
Personally, I’ll take a polka dot over a chevron stripe any day of the week! This range of spotty cushions comes in pink, yellow and orange and will set you back less than 20 clams. Plus, they’ll work back with practically any other print or graphic cushion you already have.
3. Jett Dinnerware
This new range of dinnerware is super tactile. Each piece is matte on the outside, but high-gloss on the inside. It also has really beautiful lines and retro shapes. Love!
4. Wire Pot Stand
You already know I have a thing for indoor plants, so these pot stands had my name all over them. I think they’re meant for outdoors, but I’d bring them inside and whack a simple terracotta pot and succulent in them. Available in two sizes, they’d work really well grouped in a corner that needs a little love.
5. Drift Dinnerware
When choosing new pieces for my home, I like finding clever little updates that refresh what I’ve already got – like the Drift dinnerware range. Made from fine bone china and featuring a washed out ‘watercolour’ print, it’s perfect for mixing in with that trusty plain white dining set that we all have!
6. Sorrento Dinnerware
The perfectly-imperfect organic shape of the Sorrento range is right up my alley. Add in a knocked-back palette of blues and nougat and you have dinnerware that is refreshingly pared back.
