With school holidays just around the corner, get your giggle on with the the best kids events at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival:

Class Clowns

Friday 21 April at Melbourne Town Hall (ages 13+)

Each year hundreds of secondary school students from Years 9-12 participate in the Class Clowns competition across the country – discovering or refining their skills in writing and performing comedy before coming to perform for one-night-only at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 

Comedy Club for Kids

1 – 16 April at The Famous Spielgeltent (ages 6-12)

For over a decade Comedy Club for Kids has filled the Easter holidays with flabbergasting funnies. The Kids Club shows are packed with a cavalcade of the world’s best street and stage performers to charm and captivate junior comedy fans. Hosted by Josh Earl, and includes performances by Tessa Waters, Xavier Michelides, Cam Knight and Alex The Magician. 

Stand and Deliver

21 – 23 April at The Famous Spielgeltent (ages 8-12)

A super-sized, super-fun show especially for 8-12 year olds! With a hilarious line up Stand and Deliver has of some of the best stand-up, musical, sketch and physical comedians performing in the final week of the Festival.  

The (Very) Big Laugh Out

31 March – 23 April at Fed Square (suitable for all ages)

The (Very) Big Laugh Out brings some of the world’s most wacky and wonderful street performers to multiple stages across Fed Square. FREE!! Lineup includes local and international performers including The Daredevil Chicken Club (USA), Manoamano Circo (ARG), Head First Acrobats, Anna Pocket Rocket and Dr Professor Neal Portenza.
