Disclosure: This is not a Sponsored Post. AURA by Tracie Ellis gifted me this product to style my bedroom.

As the seasons change, I love feathering my nest and giving our bedroom a new look. Rather than a wholesale change of furniture and lighting, the easiest (and most affordable) way to create a very different space is by switching up the linen.

I usually stick with a soft, understated look. But for the cooler months ahead, I’ve used pieces from AURA by Tracie Ellis to achieve quite a different feel.

In terms of palette, I introduced stronger tones of black and dijon.  While I normally run a mile from these sort of hues, I think they work really well as they reference back to our bed head and the black of the picture frames and table lamps.  To soften things up a little, I also brought in a touch of dusty pink.

Statement graphic prints aren’t normally my thing when styling our bedroom, but the perfectly proportioned polka dots of this AURA by Tracie Ellis Quilt Cover have made me a believer! They have just the right amount of personality while still letting the space feel restful.

And to cosy up things up, I reached for a chunky knit throw and the luxury of a velvet cushion….after all, no winter bedroom would be complete without a bit of texture play!
