You can keep your new season wardrobe, I’m the type of girl who gets more excited about new season homewares. Every autumn and spring, I love pottering around at home – moving things from room to room and going on the hunt for pieces that will update our nest for the months ahead.
With spring less than a week away, I thought I’d show you how I took three of the biggest interiors trends and brought them home to our place. I teamed up with Freedom and have found a bunch of pieces that I know you’re going to love and mixed them with some of my old favourites that I’ve collected over the years – because that’s what makes a house a home. It’s where life meets style. It about giving a space heart and personality. It’s why I love coming home.
Table

Shop The Look // Sahara Dinner Plate, $14.95 // Sahara Side Plate, $9.95 // Sahara Large Bowl, $9.95 // Sahara Small Bowl, $7.95 // Sahara Mini Bowl, $4.95
Defined by raw textures and organic shapes, Freedom’s Arcadia collection offers a softer side to the season. Case in point? The Sahara tableware which I used to give our mealtimes a makeover. I love that its defined by perfectly imperfect shapes and a contrasting matte/gloss finish. Plus, the inky indigo offers a palette cleanser to spring’s normal bright hues and neon pops.
Shop The Look // Series Bowl, $9.95 // Gem Serving Board, $59.95
Another striking find from the Arcadia collection was this marble serving board which has a unique, irregular shape and bevelled edges. It also goes beautifully with the rest of my white tableware which fills my cupboards.

Shop The Look // Larsson Buffet in Oak Natural, $1199 // Glass Cocktail Shaker, $39.95 // Kaos Hi Ball in Blue, $9.95 // Kaos Tumbler in Blue $7.95

When decorating our home, my default style has always been mid-century’s clean lines and edited proportions. So, Freedom’s New Mod collection was right up my alley.
Old, new, masculine, feminine, soft, graphic – it’s a case of opposites attract. While considered details like the Amali lamp’s marble base or the rounded corners and turned wooden handles of the Larsson buffet prove understated details always elevate the everyday.
Outdoors
Shop The Look // Humbug Stand in Yellow, $129 // Torquay Armchair, $499 // Lemon Delicious Cushion, $34.95
No matter whether you’ve got a big backyard or a tiny courtyard, think of your outdoor space as an extension of your indoor style.
To update our place, I looked to Freedom’s spirited Endless Summer collection and stuck to a palette of sunny yellow, white and grey. For just the right dose of personality, I introduced the candy striped Humbug stand (which is a super versatile piece that works just as well indoors) and a bold print cushion. After all, there’s no better place than the great outdoors to be playful and have a little fun with your style.
