Welcome to the May edition of Home Time. This month, I’ve rounded up a stack of homewares finds and interiors trends that are making waves. From up-and-coming designers to some of your favourite big brands, I’ve got all budgets and all styles covered – so let’s jump straight into it!
I Love Linen
Photography by Lauren Bamford & Styling by Stephanie Somebody
Lauren, the dynamo behind I Love Linen, has been awfully busy! Not only has she launched a new collection of double-sided stripe designs, but she has also opened a showroom at 17 Little Oxford Street, Collingwood where you can drop by for a personal style consultation Monday to Friday (by appointment) between 10 am and 4 pm.
Salt&Pepper’s latest tableware collection, PAINT, makes an impression with its strict monochrome palette and broad brushstroke graphics. Designed to layer, the range includes dinner and side plates as well as tea and coffee accessories. To complete the look, Salt&Pepper have also introduced HOST, a gold cutlery and serveware collection.
The Wood Room
The Wood Room is a Sydney-based furniture company that I’ve recently fallen for. Creating beautiful, handmade custom pieces, they focuses on minimalist, clean-lined design and natural finishes.
Kmart Australia’s latest collection has dropped and it’s a beauty! Shining the spotlight on affordable home decor that references sleek Scandinavian styling and layers of cosy, tactile textures; this range is a great way to update your home for the cooler months.
One of my favourite finds this month is Esko, a new range of storage pots by Sydney designer Mandy Simpson. Influenced by timeless Japanese and Scandinavian design, this range is lovingly handmade. Plus, 10% of Esko’s net profits are donated to And Company Foundation Limited which supports a community collective of Australian artists and makers.

Interiors are taking a darker turn for Winter with Dulux’s latest colour range. Inspired by night sky hues, expect to find intense blues, moody purples, warm mauves and the illumination of space-age metallic highlights.
Cotton On KIDS Room
Cotton On KIDS Room brings a bright colour pop, bold geo prints and super cute animal motifs to the scene. The range of quirky novelty cushions, reversible quilt covers, matching sheet sets and cute bedroom accessories are designed to mix and match in a case of more is definitely more!
top3 by design
This week, curators of the very best design products from local and international brands, top3 by design, launched their Melbourne flagship showroom. Stocking a coveted edit of more than 200 brands, including Alessi, Missoni Home, Bail Bangs and Page Thirty-Three, their Richmond showroom is a must-visit for original and authentic design.
Established by Melbourne couple, Paul Jager and Laura O’Keeffe, Millie Archer is a new find that’s worth checking out. This small batch designer brand produces no more than 100 of each design. And the best bit? The range is exclusive yet affordable with every piece coming in at under $100.
‘Florence’ by Julian Wolkenstein
‘Misty’ by Julian Wolkenstein
LUMAS continues to add to their seriously impressive collection of original art at affordable prices with new artists including Claudio Gotsch, Werner Pawlok, Lucas Dvorak – plus my favourite, Julian Wolkenstein and his witty ‘Pony Pin-Up’ series.
