There’s no shortage of bliss ball recipes floating around on the internet, but I think this one is going to become your firm favourite! It makes for the perfect guilt-free sweet treat. Plus, unlike lots of other bliss ball recipes you don’t have to fiddle around with melting the coconut oil. Just throw all the ingredients in your food processor, give it a blitz and away you go!
I like to make a batch on Sunday so that I have a snack on hand when the 4pm munchies hit.
Raw Chocolate Bliss Ball Recipe
Makes approximately 20
1/2 cup of almonds
1/2 cup of walnuts
12 pitted Medjool dates
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 heaped tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 cup shredded coconut, plus extra for rolling Bliss Balls in
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Place almonds and walnuts in a food processor and blend until you have small chunks.
- Add dates, cocoa powder, coconut oil, shredded coconut, chia seeds and vanilla extract and blend for one minute until all ingredients are combined well.
- Roll a teaspoon of mixture into a ball and dust in extra coconut. Continue until all mixture has been used.
- Place Bliss Balls in refrigerator for a minimum of two hours and let set.
