The Winter Wardrobe

Now that the Baby is almost 10 weeks old, I feel like my pregnancy fog is lifting. I also find myself trying to perform a daily magic trick of conjuring up an outfit from a wardrobe that hasn’t been updated for almost 12 months.

Well, thank goodness for Sussan is all I can say. Because out of the blue they sent me a gift voucher and invitation to come in store and style an outfit from their new winter collection.

Now I don’t know about you, but have you noticed that recently Sussan has stepped it up? Their range has gone from middle of the road to on the fast track to sartorial splendour!

Want evidence? Here are the spoils from my recent shopping expedition at Sussan.

I started off with this Animal print crew knit. It’s a fun piece and has four sweet buttons at the back – after all, it’s always the little details that count!

Next up? I found this crop Faux Fur Vest on their sale rack. At just $69.97 it was too tempting to leave there. You can find a similar one here.

To finish this outfit I grabbed a pair of Bianca Bootleg Jeans. Great cut. The perfect indigo blue. Unreal price. What more could you want? You can check out all of Sussan’s jeans here.

My second look was all about this awesome Salt and Pepper cardi. Cosy and perfectly draped it has enough structure to not look like I’m wearing a dressing gown – even though it’s as snug and comfy as one! In this outfit I’m also wearing my new Sussan jeans and a black tunic top I’ve had for yonks.

Last but not least, here’s my favourite piece – a bold orange Aztec Scarf. I love the pattern-on-pattern clash of it against animal print and predict that I’ll be wearing this sweet lady day-in and day-out over the next few months! Sussan’s scarves can be found here.

All up, I got five pieces for just under $370. These hard working separates look great together and also work back with the rest of my wardrobe.

You can shop Sussan’s new collection online (postage is free for orders over $150). They also have a fab new VIP program where they give you one point for every $100 you spend. When you collect 500 points over 12 months, they share the love and give you a $50 voucher.

So, if you haven’t set foot in a Sussan store since the ‘this goes with that’ days – go ahead, stop by and see what you can find. You won’t be dissapointed…I promise!

The fine print: Sussan gave me a $250 gift voucher. I paid for the balance of my shopping trip. All reviews of brands, products and experiences on Checks and Spots are genuine and reflect my honest opinion. I will only ever write about what I truly believe in.
