I couldn’t help but notice the softly touselled pony tails at Mary Katrantzou’s recent Spring/Summer 2012 show.
Created by Sam McKnight, Patene’s Pro-V Global Ambassador, this style was based on a low ponytail with hair around the hairline left loose so it floated as the girls walked by. “We wanted to create this light halo-effect with the hair,” said Sam.
To create this look at home, here are Sam’s simple tips:
- The key to this looks is freshly washed and conditioned hair.
- Mist over PantenePro-V Stay Smooth Hairspray to provide ‘bite’ and prevent hair from being too slippery.
- To keep the texture natural, use your hands (rather than a brush) and gather hair at the nape of the neck into a ponytail, ensuring a fine veil of hair around the hairline is left loose.
- Finish with another light mist of Patene Pro-V Stay Smooth Hairspray. This keeps the style in place without weighing it down.
